Your Eminence,

I do hope you understand Old Realm and understood the simple cipher I used. It felt improper to send this message without any safeguards.

It is my pleasure to report that Skullstone’s presence has been removed from Muddy Reefs. Upon arriving in Muddy Reefs we discovered Skullstone had successfully brainwashed the populous to accept their presence. Their use of zombies to build up the town infrastructure without charge combined with a steady propaganda campaign proved to be highly convincing (in retrospect we underestimated the draw of free services combined with a persuasive individual advocating something that was free). After oration based diplomatic efforts proved to have no immediate effect we restored to more kinetic based diplomatic efforts. The loss of a significant number of the zombie workers caused Skullstone to withdraw from the region.

With this task complete it has come to our recollection that Coral holds a number of our countrymen, ‘rescued’ several months ago from a pirate raid. I’m sure someone in your position would have the ability to locate these people and inform us where they are and preferably release them into our protection.

In fact, please allow me the indulgence of explaining something about myself and my family. Imagine if you will you are walking along in the forest and encounter a hornet’s nest when a hornet stings you. You see, most people, most sensible people cry out in pain and curse whatever deity they . My family? We hit the nest. With a hammer. Then fight through the pain until every last hornet is gone. I’m the kind of woman who was raised from a young age to find problems and crush them with a hammer. The difference between myself and my family? I find the sledgehammer insufficient in solving my problems.

Myself and my companions would be more than happy make the enemies of Coral our problem. Just as soon as we locate our countymen. And the longer it takes, the more hornet’s nests I’m likely to find. I would be most distressed if I found these nests in Coral territory.

With utmost respect,

Third Monsoon
