Ielinia and Elanor returned to the temple, where they found help from Thognak, two guardsmen, and a paladin of St Cuthbert. Together, they all returned to the Obsidian Fortress.

There, they found it mostly deserted. The dwarf's armor and weapons were lying in a last he pile of dust. More automatons were hiding behind illusory walls, and pulled levers sealing off the western cellblocks. The party was reunited with Loskid and Melgarin in the south cellblock, and eventually found Kazmojin's treasury, where they recovered a mysterious note and were attacked by a mimic.

The party wisely elected not to wander through the Underdark, and returned to the city above.
