The party explored more of the obsidian fortress. They rescued several kidnapped adults, and got in a running battle from the forge and kitchen, to the main hallway, then back to a guestroom. They were attacked by an immature howler, a half-troll dwarf, and something that looked like a giant dwarf. After the pulverized was destroyed, they made a fighting retreat to the kitchen, killing the howler. They delayed there while the dwarf broke down the door, then fought longer. Melgarin and Loskid were badly injured and Ielenia and Elanor retreated back to the city.
