The party wakes up and sneaks back to the giant temple lake. They threaten the boatman into taking them across again, but he tries to tip them over halfway. Melgarin simply walks across the bottom of the lake to the temple steps and drags the boat.

Inside, the priests have been preparing as well. After engaging them, the party discovers that they have filled the pond with zombies. With persistence and effort, the party fronds through them, as the statue again glows and summons an Erinyes.
