Notes regarding First Monsoon

Physically First Monsoon is perfectly fine, with the exception of the increased physical capabilities. Strength has improved in proportion to the size increase. I suppose he will need a bigger sledgehammer now. Tests have also demonstrated significantly increased resistance to physical trauma including cuts and burns. I did not test if he now has severe trauma recovery abilities similar to our own capabilities. In other words I did not slice him open and see if he would bleed out, contrary to popular opinion I am not a complete psychotic, murderous bitch.

More concerning has been the mental conditioning, he has effectively had all drive and emotion removed. He displays no sense of self and is seemingly incapable of making independent decisions. He provided no objection during the physical tests.

Conclusions: I remain unconvinced of the benefits of mental conditioning and will continue to look to solutions to correct this deficiency. What good are the physical enhancements without the drive to use them? Either way, from my encounter with our new friend it is clear the methodology that was used is beyond my capabilities to replicate. This necessitates further cooperation until at least such a time that I determine how to recreate the physical enhancements.

Additional: Recent developments have brought me to the conclusion depending on our abilities is insufficient to accomplish our long term objectives. I have resumed research into the stimulant I developed in the mercenary incident (see prior notes for details) with the desire to stabilize it for mass production and deployment. Will need to see if suitable location is available in Muddy Reefs. At the very least the large number of pirates will provide plenty of demonstration subjects that Hammer will not object to.
