This is an elegant, subtle style that focuses on finesse and manipulation more than brute force. Its form weapons are whips, weighted rope, and rope darts, as well as with concealed or improvised versions of these weapons, such as a weighted ribbon or dress train.
This style is incompatible with armor.
Additional Prerequisites: A martial artist must have at least two dots in Presence to learn Charms of this style.

The courtesan is the master of misdirection - she settles herself just so, and an enemy's eye is drawn where she wishes.
This Charm is invoked in response to a flurry directed at the martial artist. If any attack in the flurry misses, the attacker must roll Perception + Integrity against a difficulty of the martial artist's Presence; if he fails, all later attacks against her in the same flurry automatically miss.

Let others defend themselves with ungainly plate mail and heavy shields. The courtesan knows that her elegance is itself a defense.
The martial artist knows how to get maximum defense from her garb. Whatever clothing she wears grants bashing soak equal to its Resources cost plus her Essence, with an additional +2 bashing soak if it is especially formal or flashy (Storyteller's discretion); it grants lethal soak equal to half its bashing soak (round up).

The courtesan in battle knows that everything is a weapon - a sash, a ribbon, the hem of a dress; a paper fan, even a well-timed remark.
The martial artist may make improved attacks with suitable improvised weapons: small implements such as fans or mirrors are treated as wind-fire wheels, larger ones such as sashes are treated as seven-section staves (with a stunt, an attack can even be made with words, which are treated as a thrown knife).
Cost: 5m
Mins: Martial Arts 4, Essence 2
Type: Simple (Speed 3)
Keywords: Form-type, Obvious, Social
Duration: One scene
Prerequisite Charms: Demure Carp Feint, Perlescent Filigree Defense, Lethal Paper Fan Attack
The truly wise student of the court need never act on her own. Her implements and lackeys follow her commands without even the need to issue them.
The martial artist's clothing and props become animated, enhancing and complementing her motions. While this charm is active, the martial artist may use her Martial Arts, Presence, or Social scores in place of each other on any relevant roll, and supplemental Charms of these abilities may be applied to each other.
Additionally, the martial artist directly controls a number of props or weapons equal to her Essence. These weapons are chosen when the Charm is invoked, and cannot be changed while it is active. She can attack with them even if she is not holding them (though they must remain close to her unless she uses Flurry of August Leaves Concentration). Flurries with these weapons have the multiple-action penalty on each roll reduced by one.
