This altar is gloss black with silvery pearlescence, about 6 long, 2 wide, and 3 high. It is very hard (hardness over 20), turning even great sword blows without a scratch.

It sometimes calls things (demon, devil, archon, elephant).

Successful use of Disable Device has been shown to turn the portaling capability on and off.

After consulting a sage in Brünest, he was able to identify the construction as predating the current human kingdoms, and even predating the dark ages, indicating it was build by the ancient race that ruled Ganymede prior to the current age of the 4 kingdoms.  The sage is still researching as of the current play session.
